Compared to northwestern Europe, prices in South Africa are generally lower, especially of accommodation, food and beverages. Consequently a course, conference, seminar located here is not necessarily moreexpensive than if arranged closer to home. Travel time is longer – approximately 11 hours to Johannesburg from main European airports – but time difference is insignificant, zero to two hours, depending on country of departure and time of the year. SA has never introduced daylight saving time. Costs are important, but there are many other reasons to choose South Africa as a venue. Please see the rest of our website for information on what southern Africa can offer. The venue this time was Radisson SAS, a 5-star hotel with arguably one of the best positions in Cape Town, right at the seafront and within walking distance of The Victoria and Albert Waterfront. The entire arrangement went off without a hitch. Like many others who come to South Africa on such occations (conferences, business etc.) a number of these participants chose to extend their visit. An extra week gave opportunity to see and experience more of this exciting country.
In November 2008 A4U was in charge of a relatively large arrangement in this category. A one week course for owners of Norwegian accounting firms was located to Cape Town. Total number 42, including partners. A4U was responsible for the entire arrangement, accommodation, the technical part of the course (venue, equipment etc.) as well as excursions and other activities.
All feedback, both concerning the main arrangement and the subsequent week, has been overwhelmingly positive.
